Training calendar

As a result of Covid-19 all of our face to face training has been temporarily suspended. 

We have developed a new online training offer for professionals working with families in Oldham. Please find in the document below a list of webinar/on line courses available between April - March 2022 which may be of interest to you. Note the closing dates for each course (right hand column).

Should you wish to attend any of the courses, please e-mail your details directly to karen.mcmahon@oldham.gov.uk to request your place.

Information Highway Friday Sessions

These online briefing sessions are designed to give bitesize information in key safeguarding topics. They're held regularly on Fridays between 12.30pm and 2pm.

Upcoming topics include:

- TLC Domestic Abuse support for children and young people - 1 April 2022

- Learning from case review: safeguarding under 1 year old , legal gateway, professional challenge and communication - 29 April 2022

New: Greater Manchester perinatal and parent infant training 

These online training sessions were developed with colleagues across GM. They are an hour and cover a range of topics within Perinatal Infant Mental Health.

Charging policy
Please ensure you are aware of our attendance and cancellation policy. We appreciate that at times agencies may need to cancel places reserved on training courses.  However, this can be costly in terms of wasted resources so the OSCP expects applicants to observe the following procedure:

All cancellations/withdrawals from training course should be made in writing at least 5 working days in advance of the course to karen.mcmahon@oldham.gov.uk  and cc catherine.lawler@oldham.gov.uk. 

When advanced notice (5 working days) is not possible the applicants line manager must notify of the reasons for non-attendance in writing. Telephone cancellations will not be accepted.

Charges for non-attendance

  • £75.00 for a half day or one day course
  • £150.00 for a 2 day course
  • £25.00 for a briefing session – please note the expectation is you must arrive on time for a briefing, the £25.00 fee also applies to late arrival.

To save the template, right click the image and select 'Save image as...' then save it somewhere you can find easily.

Once saved click 'Submit' then 'View Score' in the top right of the page.

Once you know your score, print off the Certificate Template, fill it in (keep the hard copy for your own records), scan to your email and forward to your relevant manager or HR department responsible for monitoring training.
