In 2023 the Greater Manchester Violence Reduction Unit and CitizenAid ran the first UK Stop the Bleed Day in schools across Greater Manchester teaching over 1600 children first aid skills to control bleeding – apply pressure, pack a wound and create an improvised tourniquet.

They will be running the day again on Friday 26th April 2024 and are seeking volunteers so that we can deliver the training in as many schools as possible.
